Established 1917
The Woman’s Afternoon Music Club is dedicated to fostering a love of high-quality music through study, performance, and fellowship. We share this passion with the community by offering concerts and supporting the next generation of musicians through scholarships.
The WAMC proudly supports young musicians through its annual scholarship program. Each year, $750 scholarships are awarded to outstanding local students pursuing studies in piano, voice, and instrumental. These awards honor the legacies of esteemed Sumter educators: Clifton Moise, Elizabeth Book, and Shelden Timmerman whose dedication to musical excellence continues to inspire young artists to grow, perform, and share their talents with the Sumter community and beyond.
